Die Zauberflöte

I have always wanted to sing Pamina - in undergrad I sang Queen of the Night and it is a wonderful memory, but of course I am now more of a lyric voice and not a coloratura! I remember how beautiful Pamina's music was and how badly I wanted to sing the attempted suicide scene, and the duet with Papageno. So I was very happy to work on Pamina. The added bonus was working on it at the same time as Fledermaus - what a great contrast the two roles are, and what they each require to sing. This was again with NYOF, this time in concert with some German dialogue.
