Don Giovanni
It is finally happening - my first Donna Anna! Who wouldn't want to sing "Non mi dir," probably the most beautiful aria EVER. I may be biased. I really enjoy singing it...this performance is a concert version with NYOF and includes a lot of music that is normally cut. Die Zauberflöte
I have always wanted to sing Pamina - in undergrad I sang Queen of the Night and it is a wonderful memory, but of course I am now more of a lyric voice and not a coloratura! I remember how beautiful Pamina's music was and how badly I wanted to sing the attempted suicide scene, and the duet with Papageno. So I was very happy to work on Pamina. The added bonus was working on it at the same time as Fledermaus - what a great contrast the two roles are, and what they each require
