The Trial of Don Giovanni

Palisades Opera produced Jay Stephenson's adaptation of Mozart's masterpiece Don Giovanni this month. The Trial of Don Giovanni contains the majority of Mozart's opera, but the secco recitatives are replaced by new spoken dialogue - and it all takes place in a court room in New Jersey in 1990, sung in Italian with supertitles. We had a lot of fun with this one. In addition to taking the show to libraries in NJ and CT, we did a fundraiser for PEACE4PAWS.
